Step 1: Knot the neck of the balloon

The best way to do this is to knot the neck of the balloon. This will help to keep the balloon from slipping out of your hands as you tie it.

To knot the neck of the balloon, start by holding the balloon in one hand. Use your other hand to twist the neck of the balloon around itself. Once you've made a few twists, use your first hand to hold onto the end of the balloon while you use your other hand to pull the rest of the balloon through the loop.

Once you have the entire neck of the balloon pulled through, give it a good tug to tighten up the knot. You may need to experiment with this a bit to get it just right, but once you've got it down, it's easy!

Step 2: Make a second knot below the first

To make a second knot below the first, start by holding the balloon about 6 inches from the end.

Make a loop with the balloon and bring it over the top of the balloon. Then, insert your fingers into the loop and grab hold of the end of the balloon. Pull the end of the balloon through the loop to tighten.

Step 3: Hold both knots and let go of the balloon

Now that both of your knots are tied, it's time to let go of the balloon! But before you do, make sure to hold onto both knots so the balloon doesn't fly away. Once you're ready, simply let go and watch the balloon float up into the air.
